Double joy in Amsterdam for Charlotte and Valegro

The British couple won the sixth leg of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup 2014-2015 with a spectacular Freestyle

Amsterdam, January 2015 – There she comes: the Union Jack triumphs in the second Act of the dressage in Amsterdam. The British Charlotte Dujardin and her horse Valegro made it twice, and after the Grand Prix, they got the Freestyle too. As it was predicted the gold Olympic couple has won the sixth leg of the Reem Acra FEI World Cup 2014-2015.

This afternoon they ended the kür with a percentage of 93.900, leaving the ranking just the same as it was in the Grand Prix, with the second place to the Dutch Danielle Heijkoop and Siro N.O.P. (82.375%) and the third to the German Jessica Von Bredow-Werndl and Une Bb, (80.900%).

In the lead of the provisional ranking of the World Cup now stands the German Von Bredow-Werndl, alone with 71 points, while her compatriot Fabienne Lütkemeier drifts to the third place with 54. Between them, Heijkoop occupies number two with 60 pt. The Dutch Hans Peter Minderhoud goes up to the fourth position (50 pt.), after scoring fifth in today’s Freestyle together with Glock´s Flirt.  The Danish Agnete Kirk Thinggaard (49) follows, while the German Sönke Rothenberger goes back to sixth (47). Seventh place to the other Dutch, Edward Gal, and to the other German, Isabell Werth (40), ninth to the ex World Cup champion Adelinde Cornelissen (37) and tenth to the Italian Valentina Truppa (34).

The Western European circuit is now ready to leave Denmark and reach its next stop in Neumünster, scheduled from the 12th to the 15th February. After then the top dressage riders will fly to Göteborg (26 February - 1 March) and to ‘s-Hertogenbosch (12 - 15 March), before sealing to Las Vegas, where the final will take place, along with the show jumping, from the 15th to the 19th April.
