La British Academy of Film and Television Arts ha annunciato i vincitori dei BAFTA 2022, i premi che rappresentano la versione britannica degli Oscar. 'Dune' di Denis Villeneuve si è aggiudicato il maggior numero di riconoscimenti grazie alle cinque vittorie nelle categorie tecniche: colonna sonora, fotografia, scenografia, sonoro ed effetti speciali. Le due coppe più prestigiose sono andate al 'Potere del cane' di Jane Campion (miglior film e migliore regia), mentre le speranze di Paolo Sorrentino e del suo 'È stata la mano di Dio' si sono infrante di fronte a 'Drive My Car' di Ryusuke Hamaguchi, che ha portato a casa il BAFTA per il miglior film non in lingua inglese.
