Firenze, 5 novembre 2018 – Ricordando che il 30 ottobre scorso ricorreva l’anniversario della nascita di Ezra Pound (Hailey, 30 ottobre 1885).

Venivi innanzi uscendo dalla notte
recavi fiori in mano
ora uscirai fuori da una folla confusa,
da un tumulto di parole intorno a te.
Io che ti avevo veduta fra le cose prime
mi adirai quando sentii dire il tuo nome
in luoghi volgari.

e che il mondo inaridisse come una foglia morta,
o vuota bacca di dente di leone, e fosse spazzato via,
per poterti ritrovare,
sola.
