È in arrivo una vera chicca per gli amanti della musica di Bob Dylan: l'11 novembre Columbia Records e Legacy Records pubblicheranno "Bob Dylan: The 1966 Live Recordings", un cofanetto con 36 dischi che documenta ogni registrazione conosciuta dei concerti dal vivo tenuti in quell'anno.
I live del 1966 hanno una rilevanza storica perché sono quelli che seguono la transizione di Bob Dylan dalla musica esclusivamente acustica a quella con strumenti elettrici. All'epoca ci fu chi dissentì rumorosamente, come ad esempio fece un fan durante la data alla Royal Albert Hall, che urlò «Giuda!» spingendo Dylan a rispondere «Non ti credo, sei un bugiardo» prima di attaccare il brano "Like a Rolling Stone" – lo scambio è rimasto inciso nei bootleg.
Se il concerto alla Royal Albert Hall è stato già pubblicato nel 1998, la stragrande maggioranza dei live contenuti nel cofanetto è inedita. Per i curiosi, ecco l'elenco ufficiale fornito da Columbia Records e Legacy Records:
