John Whitaker shines in Treffen

Aboard his great stallion Argento the British champion captured this afternoon the first place in the biggest class of the second Csi three stars’ day

Treffen, January 2015 – John Whitaker proved to be unbeatable this afternoon when scoring victory in the biggest class of the second day in the Treffen Csi three stars. Aboard his faboulous stallion Argento, the British rider was first to go in the second round, being the ‘worst’ clear in the first (twenty riders qualified for the decisive round). He was clear again in 43.49 leaving behind the Swiss veteran Paul Estermann on Eclipse (43.91) and the former European champion, the German Marco Kutscher on Balance (44.31). Young Italy’s Giampiero Garofalo lost the possible first place being the fastest on Caesario (and he was the best in the first round) but having one pole down: 41.86, the only one faster than John Whitaker. Sunday in Treffen will be tha Grand Prix day: will Whitaker do it again? We’ll see…
